Small, pure white, flowers, which are perhaps more noticeable when in bud. Plant with characteristic ‘bedstraw’ whorl of leaves on short but erect stems.
Growing close to the ground in old deciduous woodlands in limestone areas, sometimes difficult to pick out from other ground cover.
